Techture (Blake Ferm)

Instruments: Didjeridoo, keyboards, vocals, guitar, turntable, programming.

Techture is both an audio, and a visual artist. Inspired since the early days of the electronic music movement, he continues to evolve his style of trip-hop/drum n' breakz music. He combines live instrumentation with software & hardware, layering together a unique palette of analog & digital sounds. Techture produces a sound similar to artists like Bjork, The Prodigy, Amon Tobin, and Aphex twin.

After graduating from The Connecticut Institute of art in 2000, he sought after the progressive music scene in The Bay Area. A few years of multimedia study at The Academy of Art College in San Francisco, was enough to convince him that this would be the city to grow in, both musically and artistically.

The art & sound of Techture have traveled the globe, creating a response which he intends to cultivate in the coming years.
